Barnes Gallery Suburban Art League Art Show

Snowbird

Cardinals don't migrate like most other birds. ​They can be spotted in backyards during winter months. Cardinals don't molt into duller colors, so that fabulous vivid red remains bright all year round. That you Laurie Snidow for the reference photograph.

Did you know that people name their trucks? I looked up a list of 101 popular truck names and decided I'd call this old red truck Get-r-done. I submit this one also to the Old Truck Challenge that was posted in 2012. Thank you Carol Marine for the great photo of this '56 Ford F-100.

Plein Air Painting

This past June, members of the Art League of Nassau County participate annually in a two day Plein Air painting event on the grounds of Old Westbury Gardens on Long Island, New York. I did sketches from this location last year and I had the opportunity this year to come back and work for two days painting the archway that leads to the beautiful walled garden.

Lucky Duck

I was recently gifted some paint brushes from an elderly woman, whose eyesight is beginning to fail. Very grateful for the brushes, I wanted to gift her this little goldfinch painting.
